I was given a £100 parking fine after queuing for 45 minutes in line for the CAR WASH
A MAN has been slapped with a £100 parking fine for queuing at a car wash — but he is refusing to pay the "unacceptable" fee.
Ahsan Haji, 33, from East London, was hit with the charge after waiting in line for 45 minutes at a BP petrol station car wash.
Ahsan — who insists he shouldn't have to pay — said it was "unacceptable".
The dad-of-three claimed it took around an hour in line before getting his car cleaned on March 19.
And "couldn't believe it" when he received the penalty notice a week later.

He told the : "We never parked — we were in the queue the whole time.
"There were six or seven cars there who would have also been fined.
"I absolutely should not have to pay that, they should be ashamed of themselves."
He allegedly received the £100 fine from Euro Car Parks after overstaying the 25 minute limit.
The letter from Euro Car Parks said: "We are using cameras to capture images of vehicles entering and leaving the car park to calculate their length of stay.
"Your vehicle was parked longer than the maximum period allowed.
"By remaining at the car park without authorisation, in accordance with the terms and conditions set out in the signage, the parking charge is now payable to Euro Car Parks."
He appealed the fine on the same day that he received the letter and is waiting on a response.
Ahsan was with his wife, Linda Goslar, 31, and their three sons aged eight, five and three, when they queued for a clean and polish.
He believes he shouldn't have to pay the fine as he didn't park.

Ahsan added: "We were sat in the car the whole time — we never parked.
"We were queueing — how can you charge us and call that parking?"
