Driver slammed for parking right in front of a charity shop – forcing them to stay closed for an entire day
A DRIVER who forced a charity shop to stay closed for a day after parking outside its front entrance has caused outrage.
The inconsiderate motorist abandoned their vehicle outside the British Red Cross in Kings Heath, Birmingham, on Sunday.
The charity shop's volunteers say the "silly" move could have cost them £200 in business.
Two notes were left on the car's windscreen alerting the driver to the inconvenience they had caused.
One note said: Leaving your car here has resulted in us not being able to open our shop today."
The other stated: "A donation towards the shop's loss of earnings would be greatly appreciated."

A note left on the shop door told customers: "Sorry we are closed due to car blocking door."
Alex Sharp, the shop's manager, said the vehicle was parked there for around five or six hours.
He told : "It could have parked literally anywhere else we would have been able to open. There was nothing nearby.
"They must have chosen to park directly in front of the door - who knows why. It's just so silly.
"We've had people park in front of the windows before for like five or 10 minutes when we're open, but this is a whole new thing. I don't get it."
Mr Sharp said although patrons were able to "squeeze past", it may have posed a nuisance for customers or anyone carrying heavy shopping.
"We could have lost maybe £200. It definitely cost us money."
