I was fined £90 for parking 13 MINUTES over time at Lidl – I’ll never shop there again
A DRIVER who was hit with a £90 fine for parking just 13 MINUTES over the time limit at Lidl has vowed not to shop there again.
Kevin Poxon, 41, was left "incredibly anxious" about paying the fee, following his trip to the supermarket in Nottingham.
He took his mum and disabled father-in-law out for a wander through the shops and a drink in Costa during a visit to Beechdale Retail Park.
But he didn't know there was a time limit for parking stays - and he was hit with the £90 fine after overstaying for just 13 minutes.
He has since appealed and Lidl said the firm who operate the car park are reviewing it.
He told : "We always use the same car park, we go to Costa or go to look at the shops.
"I've never had any issues, but I'm still angry now about it all.
"I've got a pounding headache, I feel sick to my stomach, it really ruined my day."

Kevin - who works part-time and looks after his disabled step son - said he feels incredibly anxious about the possibility of having to do extra hours to pay for the fine.
He added: "I help care for him so I work part-time.
"If I can't afford it I'll have to pick up more shifts, which might mean that I'll have to cancel appointments for my stepson as I've got to work.
"I don't get the chance to take my in laws out often, they feel really guilty about it, it's such a shame."
Kevin added: "It's unfair punishing the person that has gone shopping or gone for a coffee.
"I will not be using it again, I refuse to go, I'll find somewhere else to go where I won't be charged."
A spokesperson for Lidl GB said: “We have car park management systems in place to help ensure availability of parking spaces for customers.
"In the extremely unfortunate event that a customer believes they have wrongfully received a parking charge, we encourage them to appeal via the process outlined on their parking charge notice and explain their situation.
"Charges can be investigated and if necessary, cancelled as swiftly as possible.
"We can confirm that Parkingeye have received and currently reviewing Mr Poxon's appeal, and will update him directly of the outcome in due course.”
