Cleaning hack sees drivers using VEGETABLE that’s bound to be in your kitchen to remove stains from car seats
A CLEANING hack could help drivers get stubborn stains out of car seats - by using a vegetable commonly found in most kitchens.
It can be difficult keeping your car seats and carpets clean, particularly in winter.
However, advice website Quick and Dirty Tips suggests drivers might like to use the wet side of a cut potato to clean their cars.
Drivers are advised to clean up as much dirt as they can before rubbing the stains using the cut side of a raw spud which contains powerful enzymes that can help dissolve dirt.
Once the area is dry, motorists are advised to blot the dirty area with a wet rag.
Other car cleaning hacks include using baking soda, which also contains enzymes which absorb odours and moisture.
Drivers should sprinkle it on the carpet and upholstery of their cars about an hour before they hoover it.
A thick straw can be used to clean hard-to-reach areas between seats and in cup holders.
Simply tape the straw inside small hoover attachments to suck up dust and dirt from awkward spaces.
