BRITAIN'S "worst parker" wasted a phenomenal EIGHT minutes trying to reverse into a spot after 10 embarrassing attempts.

The hapless motorist was seen driving back and forward countless times - and spectacularly failing to manoeuvre between the white lines in Kent.

Nurse Andrei Dalca was recently relaxing on his flat's balcony in Ashford when the struggling Toyota driver caught his eye.

Andrei said: "It was pretty embarrassing. I don't know who gave him his licence - that's what's worrying.

"What made it funny was the fact that there were straight lines to show you where to park and there's so many free spaces."

The nurse was so shocked at the parking fail, that he recorded what should have been a standard manoeuvre being turned into an embarrassing blunder.

The driver, believed to have been in his "30s or 40s" was filmed trying to park in FOUR different spaces.

There were so many free spaces!

He finally succeeded after more than 10 'frustratingly slow' attempts, explained Andrei.

"I admire his perseverance because some people would have given up.

"He kept moving backwards and forwards and that's what caught my attention while I was chilling out after work.

"When he reversed he could have opened the door into an empty space and looked around to see, but he never did. He was useless," said Andrei.

The nurse and his girlfriend Sophie Daniels, 26, and cousin Jacob Dalca, 25, playfully mocked the driver.

They called out to him, suggesting he "retake his test" while quietly laughing among themselves from above the parking lot.

'WORST PARKER'

Andrei added: "It was frustrating to watch.

"He could be the worst parker in the UK at the moment.

"Let's hope there's nobody worse, anyway - maybe he's a good driver but just can't park.

"We were all amazed, and my cousin was getting really annoyed that he didn't know how to park it.

"He eventually got annoyed and just left.

"If it happens again I'll have to go down and say something to give him a hand - but on a serious note he's a danger to others.

"I've no idea how he passed his test.

"It was a relief that he parked in the end, but he hasn't moved his car since.

"If I was him I'd get an hour or two with a driving instructor and then try again. He might not embarrass himself then."

That was painful to watch.

Facebook user

Andrei posted his six-minute-long video on Facebook, and within minutes users described it as "painful to watch" and even slammed the driver as being "unsafe to be on the road".

One unimpressed person commented: "Just don't understand the use of the steering wheel... why not park nose-first?"

Another horrified viewer noted: "That was painful to watch."

"Surely they can’t be safe to be on the road?" pondered one person, while a second asked: ";How the hell did he get his licence? Utter McNugget."

But one wise soul suggested: "And people wonder why I park miles away from everyone else."

Reverse parking is currently an optional test manoeuvre during UK driving tests.

Examiners test learners on forward bay parking, or pulling up on the road and reversing two car lengths.
