Back to the Future DeLorean found covered in dust after sitting in barn for 32 years
A BACK to the Future DeLorean has been unearthed in a dusty garage after more than 30 years.
The eye-catching motor was made famous in the 1989 classic starring Michael J Fox as Marty McFly.
Nick Pelant and his father discovered the iconic car sitting in a barn near Lake Michigan in Wisconsin.
Despite remaining inactive for more than three decades, the car was in its original condition.
The odometer showed the classic motor had clocked between 30,000 and 40,000 miles before it was parked there in 1986.
The duo were forced to open the DeLorean with a pair pliers as it’s door handle was broken.
The father-son pair have spent countless hours restoring the motor to its former glory and plan on taking it to the road when it’s finished.
It’s not the first time a classic motor has been unearthed in an abandoned garage.
A 1969 Lamborghini Miura which was recently found rotting in a German garage recently sold for £1.2million at auction.
The classic car was found with bricks behind its wheels so it didn’t roll away.
A Dutch inventor recently spent six months building a custom DeLorean that can be driven using a remote control.
The car can be completely controlled using a remote control, with different levers for the brakes, headlights, throttle and steering.
