This cramped studio flat has a sofa next to the shower and a fridge under the bed

A LANDLORD has made the most of a tiny 200sq ft bedsit by squeezing a fridge under the bed and a sofa next to the shower.

The flat in Nottingham is on the market to rent for £455 a month, which includes bills.

Tenants however, don’t have toilets of their own and have to use communal loos.

The compact kitchen area features a mini oven with hot plates and a breakfast bar with two stools.

Also tucked underneath the bunk bed is a leather chair.

A similar flat in the same block also available to rent shares a similar layout but features a sofa bed instead of a bunk bed.

A spokesperson for the letting agents told “They’re quite common for working professionals and some students in third year or master’s courses who prefer to be on their own.

“It’s bigger than it looks when you’re in it. It’s just getting everything you need in one room, as opposed to a flat where everything’s separate, and a cheaper way of living.”

It comes as as an extraordinary ‘triangular’ London home that is just 4ft wide at its end went on the market for almost £1million.

The three-storey, two-bed house was squeezed onto a small triangular plot on the end of a row of terraced houses in, Wandsworth , South West London.

Part of the garden is owned by Network Rail and the new owner will have to pay a yearly lease of £1,000 just to use it.

Foxtons estate agent, David Law said: “This is a really cool pad, perfect for someone who has enough money to buy a garden flat but not a family home."
