Gordon Ramsay sells off Cornwall home for £7.5m in ‘most expensive sale EVER recorded in the county’

GORDON Ramsay has flogged one of his swanky Cornwall holiday homes for a whopping £7.5million.

The sale of the straight-talking TV chef's Trebetherick pad is believed to be the most expensive ever recorded in the seaside county.

He purchased the beachside mansion back in 2016 while waiting for construction on his other property in Rock, on the north Cornwall coast, to be completed.

Ramsay regularly holidayed in his legion of homes in the South West with his wife Tana and their five children - Meghan, twins Holly and Jack, Tilly, and Oscar.

The Trebetherick home had plenty of room for his brood to run around in - but little is known about its features.

But Ramsay did build an igloo-style wood cabin in the back garden to make the most of the stunning view in 2019.

He also appeared on This Morning with his daughter Tilly sat outside the pad.

But despite his huge property portfolio in Cornwall - he recently revealed he "can't stand" the locals.

He reignited his feud with the area following his furious spat with his neighbours at his other mansion in Rock after moving down there with his clan during Covid.

But it seems he could be distancing himself from the coast, after seeing two of his trio of extravagant abodes.

The Hells Kitchen star still has his £4.4million property in Rock - which he built from scratch.

He bought the five-bedroom holiday home in 2015, and at the time it was the second most expensive sale in Cornwall.

The cook won an eight-month battle to modernise the 1920s home and got planning permission to knock it down and replace it with a main house and a smaller second pad.

Ramsay's wife Tana previously discussed the chef's love of the seaside, saying Cornwall is the place where he can properly switch off.

She admitted: "It's the place where I see Gordon truly relax, and the lack of a phone signal is an absolute blessing.

"He has always had an obsession with the sea, and spends hours fishing or just sitting on the dunes.

"Our children take a dinghy and sit in the estuary and have fun. It's all nice and healthy."
