A NORMAL looking property in an upmarket area of London seems like any other on its street - but it holds a secret that has left people stunned.

There is nothing untoward about the former Victorian coach house in the sought after southwest borough of Richmond.

Properties on the same street - a stones throw from Richmond Underground Station - can cost an eye watering £2 million.

From the back, the cream coloured house is set back from a quiet road and features a skateboard ramp in the yard.

Despite this, the house has been dubbed 'London's Invisible House'.

Why? Because the front of the property boasts an absolutely enormous set of MIRRORS.

The mirrors cover the entire front of the house - from street level to the roof - which backs onto the A316 near the Richmond Circus roundabout.

Reflecting on the extraordinary feature, the family, who wish to remain anonymous, said the mirrors bring them a surprising amount of joy.

The family - who moved into the house in late 2019 - told they often get people walking past and fixing their hair in the mirror.

What's more - the mirror is one-way so you can't actually see into the property from the outside - but craftily the family can look out.

"You can see the trees on the roundabout and the clouds reflecting onto the house", one family member said.

They added how designer Alex Haw came up with the idea of the mirror saying it "would make the house 'talk with its environment'".

The Richmond family added: "We really liked the idea and ran with it."

But some people took to social media platform Reddit to joke about the potential problems that this house might cause.

One user chimed that it "must be a right pain to keep clean" and ";plenty of birds gonna be hitting that too".

A second user joked: "Trying to work out if I can take selfies in this or if the owners inside can see me doing it."

Another said: "I love it - it's so quirky!"
