Customers have now been plagued by technical issues from the banking giant for ten days.

TSB's boss Paul Pester revealed experts from IBM were working round the clock to fix the problem though he was still unsure what caused it.

Despite his assurances that TSB's online banking apps would be "up and running" and that no one "would be left out of the pocket" many customers took it to social media to report ongoing problems again this morning.

One frustrated customer said : "TSB when will you respond?? Rang 23/4. Visit to branch 26/4. Emailed 27/4. 30/4 I still cannot access my online banking to move my money!!!! What is happening??????"

Another one added: "I'm now very out of pocket, Paul. Today is the last of the month, I haven't been able to transfer my ISA savings  for the month. What are you going to do about it @tsb?"

Many have been unable to access their bank accounts since last weekend, while some reported they could access others’ funds.
One customer said she is now "out of the pocket"

TSB meltdown: what are your rights?

IF you’re one of the potentially millions of customers affected by TSB’s online banking problems then here are your rights.

  • Will your expenses be covered? If you suffer knock-on costs then the bank has confirmed it will reimburse you. Make a note of dates, keep reciepts and a log of how much you've been left out of pocket.
  • What are the alternatives? Visit a branch or try telephone banking if you urgently need to access cash.
  • Is it a data breach? The bank has denied that there has been a data breach but we've asked for more information on this and will update asap. Don't spend money in your account that isn't yours as you will be liable to pay it back.
  • How to complain about your bank? Firstly, complain to TSB. If the problem is not resolved to your satisfaction after 8 weeks then you can complain to the Financial Ombudsman Service.

The bank today said it is continuing to work hard to fix the problems but admitted that some may still have difficulties accessing and using their services.
