The deal will only be available on Friday

All you need to do is download and install the free Burger King app on your phone if you haven’t already got it.

Then check the “vouchers” section between 5am and 4pm on the day, and the offer will appear on your mobile device.

It’s available to anyone – even existing users of the app.

You will have to be quick though as the offer is only valid on Friday, and you will need to buy a meal in order to qualify.

Burger King
A portion of six chicken fries usually costs £2.99

Meals start from £3.49 but the chicken fries normally cost £2.99 for six, which is what you get for free, or £3.96 for nine – so it’s a good saving if you’re planning to buy a meal anyway.

Burger King’s chicken fries are strips of chicken in the shape of giant French fries, which make them perfect for dipping.

You can choose from BBQ, honey mustard, ranch, zesty, buffalo or sweet and sour sauce to go with your freebie.

What are Chicken Fries?

Chicken Fries were first trialled at a small number of restaurants and were launched nationwide in May after positive feedback.

  • They cost £2.99 for six, or £3.69 for nine – though prices will vary. On delivery app Just Eat, you’ll have to pay £3.69 for six, or £4.39 for nine, plus a £2.50 delivery charge.
  • Burger King has said they will be on the menu permanently.
  • The six-piece Chicken Fries have 250 calories, and the nine-piece set have 358 calories – but they are slightly lighter than potato fries as a regular portion of Burger King’s fries contains 280 calories, and a large portion has 400.

The deal was posted to deals-finding Facebook group Free Stuff, Samples & Coupons UK Group, where it immediately received positive comments from bargain-hunting members of the community.

One fan wrote: “Oooooo I have this app I use it all the time and the chicken fries are delicious, count me in thanks.”

Another wrote: “How exciting! Can’t wait to try out this. I’ve downloaded the Burger King app and I’m ready for Friday! Who says there’s no such thing as a free lunch!”
