Cadbury’s chocolate orange Twirl launches in shops today for 65p
CADBURY's highly anticipated chocolate orange Twirl has finally arrived in stores nationwide.
The company was forced to confirm the launch of the tasty treat last month after details of the bar leaked on social media.
At the time it said in a statement: "We knew it would be difficult to keep the news of the limited edition Cadbury Twirl Orange under wraps as people would be as excited about the product as we are.”
But the new flavour will finally be hitting shelves in major retailers across the country from today.
The chocolate orange version comes in the usual 43g two-finger packet and has a recomended retail price of 65p - although retailers can set their own prices.
A regular Twirl currently costs between 55p and 60p at Asda, Morrisons, Sainsbury's, and Tesco.
This is the first time the classic Twirl bar has had a new flavour in the UK - but it won’t be around for long as it's only available while stocks last.
The flavour was only previously available in Australia, and it’s not clear if the UK version will have the same recipe.
A classic Twirl bar consists of two Flake-style chocolate fingers covered in milk chocolate.
It first came out 35 years ago, and in 2018 .
Chocolate fans were thrilled when news of the new Twirl broke last month and now they’re eager to track down this limited edition sweet treat.
One wrote on Twitter: “Still on the hunt for an orange Twirl. I need one in my life.”
Another said: “I’ve hunted high and low for an Orange Twirl to no avail. What are you doing to me Cadbury?”
