WETHERSPOONS pubs are slashing prices today - but you could be missing out on more savings.

Spoons boss Tim Martin is cutting the price of everything on the menu by 7.5 per cent.

The annual price drop is part of the pub chain's "Tax Equality Day" campaign to highlight a tax burden on the hospitality industry.

But if you can’t make it down to your local ‘Spoons this week, we’ve rounded up more ways for you to save money.

Last year Channel 4 show Supershoppers found prices can vary by up to 60 per cent, even if the pubs are just a few hundred meters apart.

At the time, the pub chain charged £10.20 for a sex on the beach cocktail at the Montague Pike in Soho, London.

But just a 6 minute walk down the road, The Moon Under Water, near Leicester Square, the same drink cost just £6.50.

While an investigation by The Sun showed Wetherspoon charges punters up to £3 more for a burger and a pint depending on where they live.

Wetherspoons previously told us they've always been very transparent about the fact that prices differ.

Choose your day depending on the club deal

Wetherspoons has each  day, except for Mondays and Saturdays.

Here you'll be able to grab a choice of main meal and a drink (including soft beverages and alcohol) for cheaper than you would normally.

Prices do vary between Wetherspoons pubs so the exact amount you'll save will depend on where you are.

For example, you can get a steak and an alcoholic drink for £7.35 in one branch whereas an 8oz sirloin steak on its own usually costs £10.75.

The club days are as follows:
Tuesday: Steak Club
Wednesday: Chicken Club
Thursday: Curry Club
Friday: Fish Friday
Sunday: Sunday Brunch

available just for students and the pub chain says it contains £100 worth of savings inside.

They were given out during freshers' weeks but you can still ask for one behind the bar by showing your university ID.

All vouchers are valid until October 31.
