Quality Street has a new sweet – but it’s only available at John Lewis

THERE'S a new Quality Street chocolate being released for Christmas - but you'll only be able to get it at John Lewis.

Named the Crispy Truffle Bite, the sweet has a smooth praline centre mixed with crispy cereal bites.

It’s covered in milk chocolate and wrapped in the John Lewis Christmas colours of black and gold.

The new sweet comes as part of the return of John Lewis' "Choose Your Favourite" pop ups where chocoholics can customise tins of Quality Street.

Customers can fill their tin with just one sweet - putting an end to bickering over who scoffed all the best ones.

They can also personalise their tin by replacing the word “Quality” with a surname or real address.

John Lewis offered a similar pick and mix Quality Street last year where shoppers could choose three different sweets to fill their tin.

But their was outrage when the retailer ran out of favourites like the Purple One and Strawberry Delight.

This is the first year where shoppers will be able to pick just a single sweet from a choice of all the original chocolates.

Customers who kept their John Lewis tin from last year will be able to refill it again at a reduced price.

You'll be able to choose from all 12 of the usual Quality Street sweets plus the Crispy Truffle Bite.

The "Choose Your Favourites" pop ups will only be available in 17 selected John Lewis stores starting on September 26.

Prices start from £10 if you refill a 1.2kg tin from last year.

For new shoppers, you can fill your own 1.2kg tin for £12 or pay £15 to change the wording.

Rebecca Holt, Quality Street brand manager, said: "We are thrilled to be partnering with John Lewis again for Christmas 2019."

"The ‘Choose Your Favourites’ pop-ups and personalised tins were so popular last year that they simply had to come back."

Quality Street owner Nestle recently revealed it has increased the number of popular sweets in tins as part of massive shake-up.

But you might be horrified to know that tubs of Quality Street, Roses and Heroes have shrunk AGAIN despite prices in shops staying the same.

Tesco has slashed the price of tubs to £3.50 but some shoppers say it's too early to start buying Christmas chocolate.
