The new cookies are due to hit shelves on September 16 across the US and Canada.

They’ll look like regular Oreos with dark chocolate biscuits sandwiching a white creme filling so the overall look won’t give any clues away.

But Oreo will be dropping “helpful hints” in three different versions of the new packs for those who are struggling to work out the flavour.

Extra clues will also be revealed on the Oreo Facebook page each Monday, starting next week.

Great British Dunk Test: Oreo

When the show got their hands on a mystery pack, their reporters claimed the new flavour is “distinctively spicy”.

Guesses included Graham Crackers, gingerbread and Teddy Graham cookies.

But Oreo has said the new taste could be a combination of flavours, or something completely new, so the possibilities really are endless.

All we know so far is that it also has something to do with Stranger Things star Gaten Matarazzo, with the Oreo Twitter page tagging him into a tweet.

The tweet reads: "@gatenm123 is no stranger to mystery. So, we’ve tapped his detective skills to solve the flavor of the new Mystery OREO!"

Only one person who correctly guesses it will win the $50,000.

To submit your prediction, put your guess into by November 10.

The competition is only valid for entries made in the US and Canada.

Oreo lovers were thrilled when it was revealed you can now get Oreos covered in Cadbury chocolate for the first time ever in shops.

While B&M is selling a YARD of Oreos for £3 – and we think they'd make the perfect Christmas stocking filler.

Earlier this year, Cadbury and Oreo were hiring people to taste-test chocolate for £10.75 an hour.
