Everywhere that NHS, military and emergency service staff can get a well-deserved discount
IF you are employed by the NHS, military or emergency services you could be eligible for special discounts at restaurants, high street shops and on days out. Don’t miss out!
To get some in-store deals you only need to show a photo ID or payslip which proves you work for the NHS, military or emergency services.
To get others, you need to sign up to certain partner websites, many of which are totally free to join.
These sites will verify your employment and then give you access to exclusive discounts and deals they have organised with companies and brands.
To get some deals, though, you do need to buy a card from the site which proves your membership – these range from £4.99 to £24.
The and the (BLC) are available to a range of roles within the NHS, emergency services and military – including some volunteer roles.
Other sites such as , , , and also offer discounts to specific professions.
You should always check the terms and conditions of any discount or deal you want to take advantage of, as well as the expiry dates.
If you’re unsure, it’s always best to check with the company in advance to make sure you are okay to use your discount.
Some restaurant deals may only be valid on certain days of the week, and some high street discounts require you to have a loyalty card with that store.
It’s also worth checking if the deal is as good as it looks, as sometimes there may be better deals out there.
For example, Alton Tower have previously offered a 40 per cent discount to emergency services but also regularly run 2-4-1 deals for the general public that work out cheaper.
It’s also a good idea to check with your employer to see if they have access to any local deals.

Eating Out
Yo! Sushi – Roll up! You can get 20 per cent off your sushi anytime except Monday and Saturday if you’re registered with DDS or BLC. Just visit either the or website to get your code.
Starbucks – Get 10 per cent off your morning latte with your or card. Just show it in-store and enjoy your caffeine fix.
Nandos – You can get 20 per cent off orders up to £20 if you are NHS staff, military or emergency service. All you have to do is show your photocard ID. Cheeky Nandos, anyone?
Frankie and Benny’s – Present your photo ID for 20 per cent off your food bill (no drinks, unfortunately) when you buy two mains. The offer isn’t valid on Mondays between 5-11pm.
Leon – The healthy fast food chain offers 15 per cent off for NHS staff, just show your NHS card. They don’t offer discount for military or emergency services staff right now.
Gourmet Burger Kitchen – Get 15 per cent off your bill with an NHS ID card or , just check ahead with the store before you order as some locations may not offer the discount.
Both Dominos and Subway advised customers to check with the store before ordering as offers vary by location. Some branches do offer discounts to NHS, military and/or emergency service staff.

Superdrug – Save on everything from toothpaste to perfume with 10 per cent for NHS staff when you show your staff ID and a registered Superdrug Health & Beautycard.
Benefit Cosmetics– Treat yourself to some new beauty buys with 10 per cent off for NHS staff, just sign up to and browse their site for current offers.
Lovehoney – Need to spice up your love life? You can get 20 per cent off all orders over £40 at Lovehoney.co.uk if you’re signed up to , or .
Costco – If you work for the NHS, emergency services or military you’re eligible for a Costco individual membership costing £25 a year, giving you access to thousands of bulk-buy deals.
Clarks – Need some new back-to-school shoes for the kids? NHS staff can get 10 per cent off non-sale items when they shop online if they sign up to .
Paperchase – Stock up on your stationary. You can get 15 per cent off in-store in Paperchase if you show a valid NHS, emergency services or military ID.
Hotpoint – Save on your white goods with 20 per cent off at Hotpoint when you sign up to , for NHS staff only. The offer applies to sale items and includes free delivery.
Mobile Phones
Vodafone – Save 15 per cent on Vodafone Pay monthly plans if you work for the NHS or armed forces through their Vodafone Advantage scheme. You can add the discount to existing plans, too.
EE – Get 20 percent off selected EE pay monthly plans, including 4GEE tablet plans. .
O2 – You could nab up to 25 per cent off Airtime Plans with O2, just follow the instructions on their website to check if you’re eligible, or ask your employer.
Days Out and Holidays
Oyster – If you’ve served in the armed forces, you could get free and discounted travel on most London transport including Tube, tram, DLR, London Overground and TfL Rail services. .
Hilton – Need a break? Hilton offer all public sector workers 30 percent of bed and breakfast rates at weekends and 20 per cent off at Hampton by Hilton hotels – that includes NHS and emergency services staff. .
Europcar – Driving holidays don’t have to break the bank. Get 10 per cent off car hire with Europcar when you show a valid ID. Applies to all NHS, Police, Fire, Ambulance, RNLI, Mountain Rescue and Coastguard, and armed forces employees. .
