Asda is selling dark orange Fanta for Halloween
FANTA has rolled out a spooky twist to its blood orange flavour this Halloween - and it's on sale at Asda.
Instead of its usual orange colour, the soft drink has been transformed to jet black.
The blood orange flavour launched temporarily for Halloween last year after 150,000 Brits voted for their favourites.
The dark addition will be available in 500ml and 2l bottles in all the major supermarkets from September until just after Halloween, Fanta said.
But a shopper in the has already spotted it in an Asda store while it's available online too for £1.25 per 2l.
The prices can vary between supermarkets, but 500ml bottles will cost around £1.09, the drinks maker said.
The new launch got people talking on social media and one user wrote: "Curious also! Is it like a orange flavour cola? Because black Fanta is weirdddddd."
While another added: "This must be so bad for you but I want it."
The drinks get their dark colour from so-called vegetable carbon, which is a black food colour additive often used in confectionery products.
If you're keeping a close eye on your waistline, you'll want to know that each 250ml serving contains 48 calories and 10.8g of sugar - roughly 2.5 teaspoons.
In comparison, Fanta's traditional orange flavour contains the same amount of calories and 12g of sugar in 250ml.
Same-sized bottles also cost the same amount at all the major supermarkets at £1.25, while the cheapest 500ml bottle currently sets you back £1 at Tesco.
Dee Woolcott, from Fanta Great Britain, said: "Halloween is a huge moment in the year and to celebrate, we wanted to launch a new, fun version of Fanta that is delicious, but with a scary twist.
"So, the only question is – dare you taste the dark?"
Halloween falls on October 31 every year, which is a Wednesday this year.

In February, Fanta launched a GRAPE flavour for the first time in the UK.
A few years ago, Fanta Orange also changed its recipe and some fizzy drink fans were not happy.
Meanwhile, this is the shocking reason why Fanta was created - and it will astound you.
