Tesco slashes price of Heroes, Quality Street, Celebrations and Roses so you can stock up for Christmas

SHOPPERS can stock up on cheap chocolates for Christmas as Tesco has slashed the price of of family-favourites including Heroes, Quality Street, Celebrations and Roses.

It's cut the price by £1 to just £2.50 until the end of August 27, a big drop from the usual price of £3.50.

The special price is only on new-style, large pouches, which we could only find being sold online at Tesco, although shoppers have also spotted them in stores.

, , and all come in at 400g, while you get more sweet treats with , which weighs 435g.

And these larger bags are much better value than Tesco's usual range, as it charges £3 for smaller 240g boxes of Celebrations and Quality Street, and for 290g boxes of Heroes and Roses.

It also sells pricier 320g boxes of Celebrations for £3.50 and a 385g box of Heroes for £6 - so you're getting more chocolate for less with the discount.

And even though Christmas is four months away shoppers reckon it's the perfect time to stock up on these crowd-pleasing sweets.

Plus, with Halloween in two months you might want to stock up your trick or treat cupboard.
