Aldi is selling BOURBON-infused BBQ chicken thighs and drumsticks
ALDI is selling a range of alcohol-infused chicken thighs and drumsticks drenched in bourbon whisky sauce.
The succulent chicken pieces are marinated in sweet bourbon and smoky BBQ sauce for a Kentucky-inspired twist to your BBQ.
They’re available in store now for £2.99 for 1kg of chicken and Aldi recommends pairing the meat with fresh coleslaw and hot sweetcorn with butter.
Shoppers will need to head down to their nearest store to get their hands on it though, as this deal won’t be available online.

Unlike other “Special Buys” at the discounter, Aldi tells us this isn’t a limited edition product and will be available “all summer long”.

IT'S not all about bourbon chicken - Aldi is selling a whole range of BBQ food.
You can find the following products in store now:

- Minted Lamb Kebabs (£1.99, 320g)
- Specially Selected Ultimate 6oz Burger (£1.99, 340g)
- Classic Hot Dogs (£1.69, 400g)
While the spokeswoman for the chain couldn’t give us an exact date she said customers can expect to find the BBQ bourbon chicken in store for “several months”.
We’ve also asked Aldi for the calorie count on the chicken and we’ll update this article when we get a response.
You might not be surprised to know that Aldi isn’t the first retailer to experiment with whisky and poultry.
Sainsbury’s sell beer bourbon BBQ chicken wings but they cost £2.50 for 350g.
You’d need to pay £7.50 for 1.05kg of the Sainsbury’s wings – making this version £4.51 more expensive than the £2.99 you’ll pay for the 1kg of BBQ bourbon chicken at Aldi.
Aldi has also released details of other meaty goods in its BBQ range, all available now, in store only.
Customers will be able to find minted lamb kebabs for £1.99 for 320g, a Specially Selected ultimate 6oz burger for £1.99 for 340g and classic hot dogs for £1.69 for 400g.
