Cadbury’s new range includes a WHITE chocolate bar – and you can buy them at Asda
CADBURY is releasing a new white chocolate range - and it includes a chocolate bar, a giant bag of buttons and tub of Freddo treasures.
Fans of Cadbury Dream bars, which were launched in the UK in 2002 and axed a few years later, will be excited by the new chocolate bar.
The packaging describes it as tasting of creamy white chocolate, which sounds similar to the iconic bar.
We've asked Cadbury if the white chocolate bar is the same recipe as a Dream bar and will update this article as soon as we know.
The new trio of chocs include a 115g bag of white giant buttons and a 14.4g box of Freddo white treasures.
They’ll be available exclusively in Asda stores across the UK from August 29.
The chocolate block bar will cost £2, the giant buttons at £1, while the Freddo treasures will be priced at 65p.
Good news for fans of white chocolate as the block bar is £3.45 cheaper than buying an imported Cadbury Dream bar online from South African Sanza which will set you back £5.45.
We've also asked Cadbury and Asda to find how many calories each product contains and what the sugar count is and this story will be updated when we know more.
Customers are already excited about the new sweet treats and took to social media to share their joy.
Writing on a post on the Newfoodsuk Instagram page, one user said: “Sweet baby Jesus!!! Can’t wait till September.”
Another posted: “Grab some for my Christmas present!!!!!!”
While someone else said: “Definitely for you as you love white chocolate.”
The new range comes shortly after Cadbury changed the recipe of its iconic Dairy Milk chocolate for the first time in 114 years.
To make the bar healthier, the new version has 30 per cent less sugar and is being sold alongside the original chocolate.
The amount of sugar has gone down from 56g per 100g in the traditional bar to 39g per 100g in the new one.
If you read this story because you can’t get enough of white chocolate then maybe you will want to know to buy Cadbury Dream bars online.
To get more of your chocolate fix, Poundland started selling Choca-latte, Simply the Zest and Raspberry Shortcake flavoured Cadbury bars last month.
But in bad news for those with a sweet tooth, McDonald’s revealed it is getting rid of Dairy Milk and Crunchie McFlurries in favour of two new chocolates.
