STEAKS ARE HIGH

Aldi is bringing back its sell-out tomahawk steak – and it’s cheaper than Lidl’s

HUGE news for meat lovers as Aldi has announced the return of its massive tomahawk steak – and it’s cheaper than the Lidl version.

The discounter revealed it is bringing back the mega piece of beef due to popular demand after previously telling The Sun it had no plans to do so.

Aldi's tomahawk steak will be back in stores next month

Just in time for the bank holiday, the Aldi tomahawk steak will return to shelves on August 22 at £12.99 per kg.

That’s £2 cheaper than the Lidl alternative which is retailing at £14.99 per kg after returning to shops today.

A tomahawk steak is a cut of rib-eye beef on the bone and Aldi says their version is tender and full of flavour when cooked.

Waitrose also sells its own tomahawk steak for £26.99 per kg, so you’ll save £14 per kg if you shop at Aldi.

We even found one London restaurant where you can order a tomahawk steak to share for £82 per kg, making the supermarket version £69.01 cheaper.

You will be able to get your hands on the tomahawk in any of Aldi’s 827 stores across the UK from next month.

But you’ll need to be quick as the product is likely to sell out fast and will only be available until stocks last.

If you’re planning on buying the tomahawk steak as part of a BBQ, Aldi is also selling sausages that taste of sriracha, jalapeno and habanerno.

And if you still need some cooking essentials, Tesco has cut the price of its 18-piece BBQ tool set to just £3.

B&M can also help get you summer ready with a mini picnic bench to hold your condiments.

Aldi’s giant inflatable bouncy castle is back for the summer – and it only costs £70
