AMAZON'S massive annual sale is running for two days, allowing Prime members to save up to 50 per cent on bargain buys.
But what are the four types of Amazon Prime Day deals?
What is Prime Day?
Amazon's 48-hour deals event kicked off at 00.01am on Monday, July 15, and runs until 11.59pm on July 16, offering more than one million deals worldwide.
Prime Day is an annual sale the online retailer holds where it discounts millions of items from TVs and furniture to groceries and toys and fashion.
Tech-wise, whether you want a new TV, games console, or something to help turn your house into a smart home, Prime Day is definitely the time to think about buying something new.
New deals are launched as often as every five minutes, exclusively for Prime members.
Amazon bosses have promised discounts on thousands of products across TVs, smart home, kitchen, grocery, toys, furniture, fashion and outdoor items.
There are also plenty of beauty deals.
What are the 4 types of Amazon Prime Day deals?
Prime Member, spotlight, featured lightning, and lightning deals are the four types of Amazon Prime Day deals.
The online retailer has cut the price of a year’s Prime subscription to £59 for Amazon Prime Day 2019, down from its regular price of £79.
That means you can save £20 on a year of free next-day shipping, Amazon Music and Amazon Video.
Some of the Prime Day 2019 offers are only available to Amazon Prime subscribers, such as offers on Kindle, Fire Sticks and Eco devices.
Prime Member promotions are used to give shoppers either a certain percentage or money off a large set of products, for example across an entire brand.
"Lightning Deals" are price discount promotions that run for several hours, as a flash sale.
These deals will have limited quantities, which means once they're gone they're gone - so you need to get in quick to nab them.
Best Prime Day deals in 2019
Amazon says they will be launched regularly throughout the 48-hour event, and it's hinted that this year will see the biggest Prime Day deals ever on Alexa-enabled devices.
On Prime Day, all lightning deals are exclusive to Prime members.
The retailer is offering "featured lightning deals" too, which it describes as "jaw-dropping prices on top brands.
These featured lightning deals, on the Prime Day event page, will include some of the most exciting products of the year."
Amazon is also offering "spotlight deals" which run for 24 hours or until stocks last.
