The smaller bags weigh 36g, which is a third of the size of the normal size ones.

They also contain 172 calories, a significant amount less than the share bags that have 522 in them - although you're not supposed to eat them all yourself in one sitting.

We first heard rumours about the limited edition flavour back in 2016 and then the share bags were eventually launched in Poundland last year.

Since then, shoppers have spotted them being stocked in Home Bargains, Tesco and B&M.

The latest addition to the M&M line up contains "a creamy caramel centre covered in delicious milk chocolate, enclosed in a colourful candy shell, offering the ultimate combination of flavors in every bite-sized piece".

Are you drooling yet? We know we are.

Bargain hunters spotted the smaller versions in store and posted about them on the forum.

While some customers can't wait to get their hands on the treats, others are saying that they can't find them in their local Home Bargains stores.

They're not available to buy online so we've asked the retailer to let us know how many branches stock the sweets and for how long. We'll let you know when we hear back.

Home Bargains has 500 stores across the UK and you can find your local branch by using the store locator .

Just in case you can't find them, make sure to pick up a sharing bag for £1 from Tesco, Home Bargains or Poundland.

Have you ever wondered what the 'M's stand for in M&Ms? We've got the answer to the mystery here.

Here's how to cut the cost of your grocery shop

SAVING on your shop can make a big difference to your wallet. Here are some tips from Hannah Maundrell, editor of Money.co.uk, about how you can cut the cost of your shopping bills:

  • Write yourself a list – Only buy items that you need. If it isn’t on your list, don’t put it in the trolley
  • Create a budget – Work out a weekly budget for your food shopping
  • Never shop hungry – you are far more likely to buy  more food if your tummy is rumbling
  • Don’t buy pre-chopped veggies or fruit – The extra they’ll charge for chopping can be eye watering
  • Use social media – follow your favourite retailers to find out about the latest deals
  • Be disloyal – You may want to go to different stores to find the best bargains
  • Check the small print –  It’s always worth checking the price per kg/lb/litre when comparing offers so you’re making a like for like decision as a bigger box won’t necessarily mean you get more
  • Use your loyalty cards – Don’t be afraid to sign up to them all. They all work slightly differently – work out what bonus suits you better and remember to trade in your points for additional rewards
