Morrisons and Amazon launch same day grocery delivery in five new cities
MORRISONS is rolling out same day delivery to five new cities in the UK.
SHOPPERS based in Glasgow, Newcastle, Liverpool, Portsmouth and Sheffield can now get fresh groceries at the click of a button through Morrisons at Amazon.
The service was launched three years ago and is already available in Leeds, Manchester, Birmingham and parts of London.
But the supermarket has confirmed plans to expand its same-day deliveries even further throughout the UK in future.
The scheme is available via Amazon Prime Now, which comes as standard with Amazon Prime.
The home delivery service lets you do a full shop online at Morrisons through Amazon.
It will then be picked up at a local store and delivered to your door the same day.
In some locations you can even get your shopping delivered within an hour.
Amazon Prime costs £7.99 a month or £79 a year but you may have to pay a delivery fee on top.
There are two delivery options for "Morrisons at Amazon" orders fulfilled by Prime Now.
Scheduled delivery in a two-hour delivery window at no additional cost subject to a minimum order threshold of £40 or it'll cost £3.99 if your order is below this threshold.
For delivery within one-hour, it will cost £7.99 per order, although this is only available in select eligible postcodes.
A minimum order total of £15 is also required for all Prime Now orders.
This differs from orders directly from Morrisons where you can't get same-day delivery.
On top of this, Amazon Fresh, Amazon Pantry and Amazon Grocery users in the new areas will also have access to some Morrison's products.
