Morrisons is selling beer-infused burgers for Father’s Day
Boozy beer-infused burgers are on sale in Morrisons - right in time for Father's Day.
TREAT Dad this Father’s Day to an ale infused ‘beer burger’ from Morrisons.
The popular supermarket chain has partnered up with the Saltaire brewery for the summer to bring you a line of boozy meat treats.
Morrison’s new products are infused with soft malt flavours from Saltaire Blond Ale.
The products contain 21 per cent Blond Ale – ABV 4 per cent - are made with British beef and weigh 340g.
Despite the burgers boozy content, the whole family can enjoy them and you won't need ID to buy them.
As well as the beer burgers, the store is launching two other products with the brewery including a yummy steak and ale pie and pork and ale sausages 530g.
The boozy products are perfect for the coming months and are currently a bargain at 2 for £5 instead of the usual £3 a pop.
Waitrose also sell their own boozy burger at £4.00 for 4 454g caramelised onion and ale beef burgers.
If you're looking for an alternative to the BBQ favourite but still want that extra punch, ASDA sells a bourbon whisky beef brisket at £3.75 for 400g.
Back in May Morrisons scooped gold for their beef burgers enriched with bone marrow at the BBC Good Food’s Summer Awards.
The burgers were blind taste tested with Morrison’s beating the likes of Marks and Spencer.
At the time, Joshua Brockbank, burger buyer at Morrisons said: “We’re really proud of our burgers which have been created with British ingredients.”
He added: “Bone marrow gives the burger a rich and juicy flavour and we’re confident our customers will love them.”
Domestic gurus at Good Housekeeping found the average consumer are stepping away from plain offerings in favour of unique flavours.
In a blind taste test earlier this month, the gurus marked 19 supermarket own-label sausages out of 100.
First place went to Tesco’s Red Leicester and Jalapeno.
