IF you think you're ready for this jelly you may want to head on down to Poundland where it's selling VIMTO flavoured Jelly Babies.

The fruity treats, which taste like the popular soft drink's blackcurrant, raspberry and grape flavours, cost £1 and are available in all of the discounter's stores nationwide.

We couldn't find the sweets being sold at any of the major supermarkets and Poundland says they will only be around for a limited time so you may want to bag them quick.

It's a shake-up from the traditional Jelly Babies made by Maynards Bassetts, which you usually find in packs of strawberry, lime, lemon, blackcurrant, orange, and raspberry.

But it's not the first time Jelly Babies have been shaken up.

Back in 2017 the manufacturer launched "Tropical" packs containing mango, pineapple and banana flavoured jelly sweets.

We're waiting confirmation on how many calories is in a pack but it's likely to be similar to the 627 calories in a typical 190g pack of Maynards Bassetts' Jelly Babies.

An adult man should have around 2,500 calories a day while it's 2,000 for a woman, according to NHS guidelines.

If you're watching the pennies, there's very little difference in price between the Vimto version, which costs £1, and traditional Jelly Babies, which cost between £1 and £1.50 at the major supermarkets.

And it seems shoppers can't wait to try them. One follower of Instagram food blogger , who first spotted the sweets, said: "These look and sound amazing!"

Another wrote: "Vimto Jelly Babies - NEED", while someone else said: "Wish I had gone to Poundland today".

Vimto fans can also snap up a Krispy Kreme doughnut flavoured with the fruits - but you can only buy it if you know a secret code.

Vimto recently changed its recipe to avoid the 20 per cent sugar tax that took force in 2018.

Meanwhile, Poundland is selling mini Vimto Mini Fizzy Pencils as part of its retro sweets range.
