Costa’s summer menu is back and it includes iced coffee that tastes of strawberries

Costa's summer drinks

COSTA Coffee's summer drinks menu is back and this year it's selling iced coffee that tastes of strawberries and salted caramel iced lattes.

The popular chain has teased its new sweet treats on its website saying users should try its new range of "berrylicious ice drinks for a sweet refreshment".

And we can confirm that new to the menu this year is a strawberry cold brew, a salted caramel latte - that's also available iced - a strawberry lemonade, a classic lemonade, and a strawberry iced infusion.

The unusual limited-edition strawberry cold brew is brewed in store for 20 hours and contains both coffee and sweet strawberries.

This new drinks range varies in price from £2.65 to £2.95 - see the table below for the full details.

But if you're looking to save the pennies then McDonald's new iced lattes are cheaper at £1.99 while its new millionaire's frappe is £2.59.

Costa is also launching its summer food range including a new Italian mozzarella and tomato wrap from £3.40 and a pink swirl meringue from £2.10, which combines a crisp meringue, topped with mixed berry compote and cream.

The coffee chain has also brought back its popular meal deal until September 4, where shoppers can get a sandwich, panini or salad, with a snack and a drink for £4.95 every day between 11am and 2pm.

Shoppers had been furious when the meal deal was ditched in November to make way for its Christmas menu.

Costa was tipped to be selling more cold coffees after it was bought by Coca-Cola last year in a £3.9billion deal.

What's in Costa's meal deal

HERE'S what you can buy in Costa's £4.95 meal deal:

  • Drinks: Any bottled drink, Primo hot drink or iced coffee including cold brew coffee - additional flavours come at an extra charge. Frostinos, Fruit Coolers, Lemonade, and ice tea are excluded.
  • Mains: A Ham & Cheese Toastie, Mozzarella & Tomato Panini, Roast Chicken Salad Sandwich, Tomato & Basil Soup or any Salad.
  • Sides: A packet of crisps, Pom-Bear, Popchips, popcorn or a single piece of fruit

Costa's most recent spring menu included warm cheese scones and crispy rice cakes.

While its autumn range included bonfire spiced drinks.

But the coffee shop was recently blasted for "tricking" customers into paying an extra 25p for its Colombia roast.
