It comes as only yesterday an outage saw users unable to access their internet and app banking during the morning.

But as of this afternoon, Lloyds Banking Group says the problems are resolved.

A spokesperson said: “We're sorry that some of our customers had issues with internet banking this morning and can confirm that services are now back to normal.”

One fed-up customer tweeted today: "It's not just online, the whole system is down, I went to deposit money into my account at a branch and told systems are down! Better be working by tomorrow."

While another said: "What again? Was like that yesterday. Get it sorted and spend money on the problem instead of crap adverts".

And one frustrated customer added: "It's happening on a monthly basis, all I want to do is use my account and pay for things!"

MPs on the Treasury Committee have launched a probe into banking outages after a string of meltdowns at high street banks have left customers without access to their cash.

The inquiry will look at the common causes of IT failures, the ways consumers lose out, and whether regulators such as the Bank of England and the Financial Conduct Authority have the ability to hold the relevant people to account.

Your rights when your banking goes down

IF your banking services go down, here's what you need to know:

Will your expenses be covered? If you suffer knock-on costs you should make a note of dates, keep receipts and a log of how much you've been left out of pocket. The bank may reimburse you.

What are the alternatives? Visit a branch or try telephone banking if you urgently need to access cash.

How to complain about your bank? Firstly, complain to . If the problem is not resolved to your satisfaction after eight weeks then you can complain to the free .

Lloyds Bank was slammed earlier this year for making overdraft fees more expensive and complicated for customers.

The bank also announced plans last autumn to close yet more branches.

Meanwhile, one Lloyds bank customer claims he was offered £50 to silence him after staff member called him "a gay fairy".
