Aldi is selling a dinosaur shaped Easter egg – and it’s HALF the price of an M&S one

THERE'S some roarsome news for dinosaur fans as Aldi is selling a dinosaur-shaped Easter egg costing just £2.99 - half the price of M&S's version.
"Danny the Dinosaur", as he's been affectionately named by Aldi, is a 200g hollow milk chocolate treat.
But he's a real steal compared to M&S's milk chocolate, slightly scarier looking, "Spiketail" version that costs £6 for 205g - although that does include some white chocolate "dinosaur eggs".
The tasty treats were spotted by shoppers on the .
Someone on the group initially posted the M&S version but that lead to savvy bargain hunters pointing out that a cheaper version was available in Aldi.
M&S's version has a whopping 1,060 calories in total. The Sun has asked Aldi to confirm how many calories is in its dinosaur and we'll update this story as soon as we get a response.
Both chocolates will be available in stores across the UK. Aldi has 800 stores, while M&S has 1,035. Use and store locator tools to find your nearest.
An M&S spokesperson said: "Spiketail the dinosaur is a much-loved member of our fabulous Easter egg collection, which starts at just £2.
"It’s made with creamy milk chocolate and comes with five delicious milk chocolate dinosaur eggs for both children and big kids to enjoy."
Aldi is also selling a Danny the Dinosaur cuddly toy with a milk chocolate Easter egg for 200g, which contains 708 calories, as well as 85p 35g chocolate dinosaur lollies.
But Aldi and M&S aren't the only supermarkets to be getting in on the action.
Asda is selling a smaller and pricier that weighs 140g and costs £3.50. It contains 739 calories.
The supermarket is also selling a accompanied by a 45g milk chocolate egg that costs less than Aldi's at £3. It contains 252 calories.
Meanwhile, for a pricier £3.50. It contains 570 calories.
An adult man should eat around 2,500 calories a day, while a woman should consume 2,000, according to the NHS.
