Millions of Lloyds, Halifax and Bank of Scotland customers unable to send or receive payments
The issues are affecting mobile and phone banking customers with Lloyds Banking Group
CUSTOMERS with Lloyds, Halifax and Bank of Scotland are STILL unable to send or receive payments online after the service crashed this morning.
The issues are affecting internet and phone banking customers with Lloyds Banking Group.
The banks have millions of customers between them, but it's unclear how many are affected by this glitch.
Halifax, Lloyds and Bank of Scotland confirmed on Twitter that their Faster Payments services have crashed on what is payday for many employees in the UK.
The issues have been ongoing since this morning.
The Faster Payments service allows customers to make money transfers in minutes online or by phone.
A spokesman from Lloyds Banking Group said: "We are aware that some of our customers are experiencing problems with making Faster Payments.
"We are working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.
"We would like to assure customers they will not be out of pocket as a result of this issue, and apologise for any inconvenience caused.”
The Sun has asked Lloyds Banking Group when the issues will be resolved, and we will update this article if we hear back.
The group has 22 million current account customers and 21 million savings account customers in the UK.
This isn't the first time Lloyds Banking Group has had issues with mobile and online banking for customers.
In November, internet banking went down leaving customers without access to their accounts and to their cash.
Banks aren't the only ones with technical glitches causing havoc for millions either.
In December, millions of 02 customers were left without data services for a whole day.
