Inside the chest you'll find two halves - one containing Dairy Milk buttons meant to look like treasure, and a collectable toy in the other.

There are 17 surprises to collect in total which include either a Freddo toy, one of his animal friends or a game such as a puzzle or spinner.

You'll also find a QR code inside the pot which you can scan on your phone to reveal historical facts to inspire a family day out.

You can get your hands on Freddo Treasures from today across all major supermarkets for 90p, which is 5p more than a Kinder Surprise egg which costs 85p.

It's already been spotted in Asda by foodie Instagrammer and it seems shoppers are keen to get their hands on them.

One user replied: "How cute is this! I need to get me a mini Freddo."

And another wrote: "Aww these are so cute, thanks for sharing. I will be looking out for these".

The price of Cadbury Freddo bars have a made a huge jump over the years and chocolate fans were not happy when they spotted the sweets being sold for 99p in one store.

Last year the chocolate maker also launched Freddo Biscuits for £1.50 a packet, which come with one side dipped in milk chocolate.

Meanwhile if you're looking to stock up on some of your favourite chocolate treats, supermarkets have slashed the price of luxury Christmas chocolate by up to 90 per cent.

Cadbury launches Freddo BISCUITS but they cost a lot more than 10p
