When is Cyber Monday 2024?

Cyber Monday 2024 falls on December 2.

As always, it's on the Monday that follows Black Friday, which takes place on November 29 this year.

Traditionally, Black Friday comes that takes place on the fourth Thursday in November.

That means Cyber Monday is always between November 26 and December 2, depending on the year.

What is Cyber Monday?

Cyber Monday was created in 2005 by marketing companies to encourage people to shop online.

Hot on the heels of Black Friday, Cyber Monday is traditionally a day when retailers slash their prices online for a final 24 hours.

Customers often bookmark the products they have their eye on and set alarms for the exact moment the sales launch on each site.

In previous years, demand for deals online has caused retailer websites to crash, or virtual queues to be put in place.

With so much choice out there, it can be easy to pay more than you need to for a product, while caught up in the shopping frenzy.

It's important to do your research.

Always compare prices online, and use websites like  and  to track prices over time to be sure that you really are getting a good deal.

Is Cyber Monday better than Black Friday?

Shopping on Cyber Monday does not necessarily mean you will be getting a better deal.

In fact, most retailers will continue to offer Black Friday deals through to Cyber Monday, extending massive discounts for bargain hunters to take advantage of.

It's worth noting that in-demand items such as air fryers, games consoles, 4K TVs and tech gadgets tend to be snapped up fast.

Often, these items sell out as soon as they launch on Black Friday.

So if you're after a coveted item, getting in early on Black Friday is usually more sensible than waiting for Cyber Monday online sales.

However, both Black Friday and Cyber Monday offer a ton of savings for consumers, and there are pros and cons to choosing a particular day to shop.

Sometimes during Cyber Monday, you can get exclusive savings, as retailers make a last-ditch attempt to shift stock.
