Iceland Black Friday 2018 – here’s how to find the best deals

ICELAND has launched its Black Friday event today, giving shoppers the chance to win big when shopping online.

This year the supermarket isn’t running a dedicated Black Friday sale, but is offering customers the chance to win over 100,000 prizes with its wheel full of deals.

All you have to do is complete your online shop and then spin the virtual wheel to see what you can win.

The prizes have to be redeemed in the first two weeks of December, so are perfect if you’re looking for some extra deals in the run up to Christmas.

Iceland's Black Friday deals for this year aren’t available in stores, either under the Iceland or The Food Warehouse brands, so you'll have shop online to be able to enjoy them.

What has been in Iceland's previous Black Friday sales?

We haven't been able to find any information on last year's deals and Iceland could not specify what exactly they were, so we cannot confirm whether Iceland even participated in the event last year.

But the deals will be very different to what it offered last year, the supermarket told The Sun.

A spokesperson for the supermarket said: "I am told that the deals we offered last year bear no relation at all to the biggest-ever online deals we will be offering in 2018."

EARN CASHBACK Check websites like and TopCashback BEFORE you place your order. Cashback websites PAY you to shop. All you have to do is click through their links and the money is added to your online account, usually within 14 days.

What is in Iceland's Black Friday 2018 sale?

There are over 100,000 prizes on offer from Iceland this year.

One of the top prizes is one years’ worth of shopping valued at £2,500.

You can also win money to spend in store worth £1,000 or £100, as well as money off your shopping including £10 off a £70 shop and £5 off a £65 shop.

Meanwhile if you’re looking to make a saving on your Christmas dinner, you can also win a whole turkey.

Even if you don’t bag one of the top prizes Iceland is still giving shoppers £5 just for taking part, so it’s worth having a go if you usually shop online at the supermarket.

Iceland is far from the only supermarket or retailer offering good deals on the last Friday in November.

Tesco has also launched its Black Friday sale in store and online, whilst Lidl is offering savings of up to 75 per cent on food, drink and electricals.
