You get eight waffles in a pack which works out as about 14p each.

They're the same price as Asda's six-pack of plain waffles and its five-pack of sugared waffles, making them the best value version that the supermarket sells.

They were first spied on shelves by popular Instagram food account , and more than 600 people have liked a snap of them.

One called them the "best waffles," while another said they needed to visit Asda soon to pick up a pack.

Unsurprisingly, they're not the healthiest treats and contain 169 calories per waffle.

They also contain 13g of sugar, which is 14 per cent of an adult's recommended daily intake, and 4.1g of saturated fat, which is a fifth of the amount you should have in a day.

Even though they're billed as chocolate and hazelnut waffles, they're bizarrely suitable for nut allergy sufferers as they don't actually contain any hazelnuts.

They're just filled with a chocolate-flavoured sauce, .

But nut allergy sufferers may want to steer clear of them just in case as the label says that they "may contain nuts" as they're made in a factory where they're present.

The Sun has asked Asda to clear up why the waffles are described as chocolate and hazelnut-flavoured when they don't contain nuts, and we will update this story when we hear back.

Asda is also selling a giant mince pie for Christmas this year that's three times the size of a normal one for £1.50.

The supermarket has also launched mini pepperoni calzone pizzas as a party snack, which look delicious.

Meanwhile shoppers close to one Asda store in West Yorkshire will be able to have pizza delivered to their door via JustEat - and it's cheaper than Domino's and Papa John's.
