Kids’ shoes sold by Mamas and Papas recalled over fears children could choke on tassles
Three pairs are being recalled as they are all decorated with tassles or pom-poms, which could fall off and become a choking hazard
THREE pairs of children's shoes from Mamas & Papas have been urgently recalled over fears kids could choke on them.
The shoes are all decorated with tassles or pom-poms, which could fall off and become a choking hazard.
The affected shoes, which are no longer on sale, are pairs of gold Fringe Moccasins, Pom Pom or Suede Detail shoes.
Mamas & Papas is asking customers to stop using them immediately if they have a pair.
Any of these shoes bought between June 2017 and October this year should be returned to any Mamas & Papas store for a full refund.
Mamas & Papas said that customers can also contact its customer service team who will be able to help anyone who thinks they have bought or been given a pair of these shoes.
A statement to customers said: "Please be assured that the safety and quality of our products is always our primary concern.
"We apologise for any inconvenience caused."
No other Mamas & Papas products are known to be a choking hazard.
The Sun has contacted Mamas & Papas for comment.
You can contact the Mamas & Papas customer service team by ringing 0345 268 2000 (option 3) in the UK, 1890 882 363 (option 3) in Ireland or by emailing [email protected].
Meanwhile Adidas has also recalled a children's bikini sold at Littlewoods over fears children could be hurt.
The online retailer has asked parents to return the £21.95 Adidas Infinite 3 Stripe Bikini if they have bought one.
Adidas said that the three stripes on the bikini could come off when they get wet.
The recall states that this poses a safety risk to children because "the stripes might get stuck on objects or other children outside or inside the water, potentially leading to injuries".
