M&S launches milk and COOKIES granola for Christmas – and it’s a posh version of Nestlé’s Cookie Crisp
The £2.80 cereal contains milk and white chocolate chunks, cookie pieces, and yoghurt-coated cornflakes
MARKS & SPENCER has launched a new granola flavour that tastes of milk and cookies for Christmas - and it's basically a posh version of Nestlé's Cookie Crisp cereal.
The granola is baked with Belgian chocolate and is mixed with biscuit pieces, milk and white chocolate chunks and yoghurt-coated cornflakes.
The cookies mixed in with the granola are vanilla and chocolate sandwich biscuits.
We haven't had a chance to try it yet but it sounds delicious - even if it's more dessert than breakfast.
A packet costs £2.80 for 500g - only 10p more than a 500g box of Nestle's Cookie Crisp Cereal.
It's more sugary per serving though, with 7.5g in an average 45g serving compared to 6.7g in a recommended 30g bowl of Cookie Crisp.
A bowl of granola also contains more calories at 199 compared to 116 in a 30g serving of Cookie Crisp - but the size of M&S's portion is a third bigger.
It's traditional to leave milk and cookies out for Father Christmas on December 24, which inspired M&S's new flavour.
The cereal is available to buy now - more than two months before the big day.
It's not the only quirky festive food on supermarket shelves right now.
Asda has launched roast turkey and stuffing flavoured crisps - and they taste like Christmas in a mouthful.
Even weirder are Iceland's Christmas tree flavoured crisps which taste of pine needles.
