MINCE pies are an essential part of every Christmas - and now you can get them as an ice cream.
Iceland is set to divide dessert fans with the new £1.50 Mince Pie Ice Cream Cones, which will go on sale ahead of the festive season.
The 181-calorie treats come in 288g packs of four and will be available from November 19 in stores and .
The ice cream itself will taste like fruity mincemeat and rich spices, and it will be topped with orange rind and raisins to add a zesty touch.
The cones will also have a circle of chocolate where the ice cream meets the cone.
We haven't had a chance to try them yet, but we think they will taste like the classic beachside flavour, rum and raisin, as mince pies often contain a hint of booze.
With nearly 20g of sugar in each cone, one of these treats gets you very close to the daily recommended 30g intake of added sugars, so it's probably wise not to eat too many in one go.
The ice cream cones are more expensive than the supermarket's regular treats as it sells for £1 a pack.
But they could still be very popular as people in the UK eat more than 300 million mince pies every Christmas, making them the nation's favourite festive treat.
Neil Nugent, head chef at Iceland, said: “We’ve seen more and more shoppers looking for quirky ways to enjoy festive treats, so we came up with this combination of two of our customer’s favourites.
"These great quality ice creams have a light festive flavour and are perfect for the whole family."
Iceland currently has a pizza and wine deal on where you get two pizzas and a bottle for £5 until October 7.
