The Sun had a sneak peek ahead of the launch, to see if the deals are really as good as they say they are.

One of our top picks is on the Silverlit Stunt Drone which will costs £25 down from £50, making it one of the cheapest ones we could find.

Even Aldi's budget-priced piece of tech cost £50, while the next cheapest one we could find is a similar drone from Argos which costs £29.99 but its battery life isn't as good.

A three-in-one Lego "super pack" is also in the sale for £20 down from £40. The set includes On A Roll, a City Monster Truck and a City Speed Record Car.

On their own, each of these sets cost £20 each from Smyths so you'll be saving up to £40 with the combined box from Tesco.

The Disney Princess Mini Doll 6 Pack is also a deal not to be missed because the next best price we could find for the set was on SuperSaveDirect.com where the toys cost £18.99.

A set of two Nerf Pursuader guns will set you back just £17.50 down from £35 at Tesco - which is a steal compared to one gun from BargainMax.co.uk which costs £9.99 or £18.99 for two.

We couldn't find anywhere else that sold the PAW Patrol Pirate Vehicle two-pack, which will be £14 down from £28.

The Play-Doh Create 'n Canister, which contains 20 tubs of different moulding clay, is also in the sale for £17.50 down from £35.

This is a great deal because while we couldn't find this exact product sold elsewhere, Argos is selling a tub that comes with 13 pots of Play-Doh! for £19.99.

The half-price sale runs from October 3 until the end of the month.

Only a handful of the toys will be available to buy online but you'll need to hurry down to your nearest Tesco Extra store to scoop the best deals.

This is because Britain's largest supermarket shut down its separate tech, toys, clothes and homeware side of the business in May this year.

Instead, its integrating some of the products on to the normally Tesco website, which is why you'll only be able to buy some of the products in store.

Discounter B&M is also running a two for £16 toy sale - down from £20 before.

But before you go parting with your cash, you might want to check out the Argos three for two sale, offering discounts on toys across the board.

Plus, Smyths is giving shoppers £10 off for every £50 they spend, and Asda has its Big Toy Rollback on until September 30 with up to 58 per cent off.
