Argos ‘ripping off customers’ after mum proves retailer charges DOUBLE for toys compared to other shops

A MUM-OF-FOUR has accused Argos of "daylight robbery" after proving the retailer is charging more than double the price of other shops for the same toys.

Zoe Baskerville, 44, of Worksop, Notts, posted on Facebook that you can buy many of the toys on offer in Argos's "3 for 2" sale at rival toy shops such as Smyths for much cheaper.

Last year, Argos was accused of pushing up its prices ahead of its "3 for 2" sale, as we reported in The Sun.

Cora Harrison, who writes the The Mini Millionaire blog, found that many products jumped in price on the day the sale started.

Argos launched its "3 for 2" sale on Wednesday, September 26, with thousands of toys included in the offer.

Shoppers can mix and match toys and get the cheapest one free.

Meanwhile Smyths is currently offering shoppers £10 for every £50 they spend.
