Argos ‘ripping off customers’ after mum proves retailer charges DOUBLE for toys compared to other shops
A MUM-OF-FOUR has accused Argos of "daylight robbery" after proving the retailer is charging more than double the price of other shops for the same toys.
Zoe Baskerville, 44, of Worksop, Notts, posted on Facebook that you can buy many of the toys on offer in Argos's "3 for 2" sale at rival toy shops such as Smyths for much cheaper.
Argos is selling a for £84.99 - but rival is selling the same toy for £27.99, and you can also buy it on .

Zoe pointed out that even with Argos's "3 for 2" deal, parents would save more money by shopping around.
On her viral Facebook post, which has been shared 93,000 times, she wrote that she would be "giving Argos a swerve this year".
In another example of why you should always shop around, Argos is selling a toy for £139.99 but you can get the same one at or for £97.99.

An Argos spokeswoman said: “Our '3 for 2' promotion offers great deals across thousands of our bestselling toys. We always aim to give customers the best possible value.”
Bargain hunters were stunned to find out how much cheaper you can buy the toys elsewhere.
Megan Blackmore wrote on Zoe's Facebook page: "WHAT!! That’s crazy! Surely they can’t do that, will be avoiding Argos this year for sure!"
Debbie Anne Slater added: "I can't believe the price difference, what a rip off, just shows you that you need to shop about."
Last year, Argos was accused of pushing up its prices ahead of its "3 for 2" sale, as we reported in The Sun.
