ICELAND has launched crisps which taste like a Christmas tree - and it could be one of the most controversial flavours ever created.
It might sound like a joke, but the frozen food supermarket really is selling pine tree-flavoured snacks ahead of Christmas for £1 a bag.
Crisp fans on social media already have some very strong views about the new bags of Christmas Tree Flavour Salted Hand Cooked Crisps.
Bethany Smith wrote on Twitter: "Christmas tree flavour crisps? Why Iceland, why?"
On Instagra, deb_buffy added: "Why would you want a crisp which tastes like a tree?"
Judy_dixie also wrote: "I can't be the only person thinking it'll just taste like potpourri."

Instagram account Kevssnackreviews was the first to spy the new flavour on shelves.
The flavour is one in a new range of 180g bags of hand-cooked crisps in Iceland's Luxury range.
On the packaging, the crisps list "pine salt flavour seasoning" as an ingredient, so they will probably taste like ready salted crisps with a hint of pine flavour.
Iceland says the sharing bags contain six portions which are 153 calories each while the whole bag contains 918 calories.
Other flavours in the Luxury range include Lobster Cocktail and Luxury Pigs in Blankets.

If pine tree-flavoured crisps aren't up your street, Iceland is also selling salted caramel and meringue ice cream desserts for £2.50 which sound amazing.
Meanwhile, Tesco is selling pigs in duvets which cost £5 for 400g.
