Lindt’s pumpkin spice chocolate truffles are back – but Brits pay more than US shoppers
IT'S the time of year when pumpkin spice-flavour treats are everywhere you go, and now you can buy chocolates that taste of winter spices too.
Lindt is selling Lindor Pumpkin Spice Milk Chocolate Truffles this year once again - but Brits have to pay more than US shoppers for the seasonal sweets.
The chocolates are officially only sale in the US, where they cost about $4 (£3.04) for a 168g box.
You can buy them in the UK, but only from online shop The Chocolate Emporium.
The retailer has imported the treats from the US and cost between £6.99 for a pack of 10 up to £31.50 for a pack of 30.
That's much pricier than a regular milk chocolate box of Lindt Lindor truffles, which costs £3.50 for 200g at Asda.
Chocolate lovers are divided about the returning treats, with some loving the flavour while others saying they taste like medicine.
One Twitter user wrote: The other day I tried a pumpkin spice Lindt chocolate and it was gross."
But a fan said on Twitter: "Mmmk Lindt Lindor Pumpkin Spice Milk Chocolate Truffles might be my new religion."
Joanna Fantozzi at reviewed the product in 2016.
She wrote: "The liquefied, gooey center tastes strongly of synthetic, spicy cinnamon and nutmeg flavor."
