Tesco is selling profiteroles filled with Baileys and gooey salted caramel
BAILEY’S fans can now get their hands on profiteroles stuffed with the popular Irish cream liqueur in Tesco.
The choux buns cost just £2.50 for a 216g box of 12 profiteroles, which also include a gooey salted caramel core and a salted chocolate flavoured coating.
Tesco says the dessert unleashes a “truly indulgent taste experience”.
Each profiterole contains 69 calories and 2.7g of saturated fat.
The NHS says the average man aged 19 to 64 should eat no more than 30g of saturated fat a day, while it’s 20g for women.
Shoppers can only get their hands on the Baileys salted caramel profiteroles in larger Tesco stores and online, according to online supermarket comparison tool MySupermarket.
But you can get a very similar dessert of Baileys profiteroles cream puffs from Iceland.
These are currently reduced at the frozen food retailer from £2 to £1 for a 260g box.
Tesco has recently begun selling Baileys “chocolate secret” ice cream and Baileys caramel sensation ice creams.
The move comes as the retail giant launched a new discounted food brand called Jack’s earlier this month.
Find out how Jack’s prices compare to Aldi, Lidl, and Tesco and where the stores are located.
