Sadly, the Smarties McFlurry will only be around for four weeks from September 26 until November 17, so you won't have long to indulge in one.

Eagle-eyed fans of the golden arches will have noticed that it will now also contain chocolate sauce, as well as crushed smarties.

The limited edition sweet treat will be available in the full-sized and mini versions, for 89p and £1.29 respectively.

That means they are more expensive that other versions available on the menu which cost 59p for the mini version and 89p for the regular size, although prices do vary between restaurants.

When McDonald's first pulled the Smarties McFlurry a petition was signed by hundreds of people.

One fan even penned an emotional love letter to the dessert, which was replaced with an Oreo alternative.
In June, McDonald's shrunk the size of McFlurries when it launched its mini versions.

McDonald's celebrated its 50th birthday this year by introducing a smaller version of the Big Mac, the Mac Jr. as well as a giant one called the Grand Big Mac.
