CHRISTMAS is still three months away but a new glittery gingerbread gin liqueur will help shoppers feel festive already, thanks to Asda.
Bottles of the Extra Special Gingerbread Gin Liqueur are on sale for £12 - and you can get your hands on them right now.
The tipple is an autumnal orange-gold and contains shimmering edible glitter to add some sparkle to your homemade cocktails.
It can be drunk over ice, with tonic or even added to a glass of bubbles.
The 50cl liqueur is made by combining ’s Extra Special Triple Distilled Premium Gin with a lightly-spiced gingerbread flavour.
You can buy the tipple in stores now and it will be available on the store's website soon.
Asda isn’t the only supermarket to be jumping on the boozy gingerbread trend for autumn.
Aldi will also released a gingerbread-flavoured liqueur. Its 70cl version is cheaper than Asda’s at £9.99 - but sadly bottles of the Gingerbread Gin Liqueur don’t contain any glitter.
It will be on sale from October 1 while stocks last.
This isn’t the first time Aldi has launched a flavoured gin liqueur.
In July, it launched a £9.99 Passionfruit Gin Liqueur which sold out in just two days.
From October 1, it will bring back the liqueur as part of its autumn collection, alongside its £10.99 Oliver Cromwell Pink Gin and other flavoured tipples, including a £13.99 Spiced Plum and Clementine Gin.
Supermarkets have seen soaring gin sales over the last year.
Sales at Asda hit £51 million last year, while Aldi reports that 12,500 bottles fly off the shelves every day.
Aldi has also launched a cut-price Specially Selected Pumpkin Spice Irish Cream Liqueur for £6.99 for a 70cl bottle in time for autumn, available from October 4.
And yesterday, the budget supermarket was named the best supermarket to buy meat and fish from.
Meanwhile, Asda has become the latest supermarket to scrap its price match scheme.
