Aldi is now selling paint, brushes and easels so you can get creative at home
Whether you're an experienced artist or just starting out - you can find savings on a whole host of art supplies
BARGAIN supermarket Aldi has launched a contemporary art range, which includes a whole host of products from paints and brushes, to canvases.
The selection includes some great savings on products that you could be paying a premium price for if you bought them from specialist art suppliers.
Prices start from just £3.99, with the goods available in stores from September 16. You can also pre-order items online from September 9.
At the top end of the range is a 90 piece art set which includes paints, pens, pencils and brushes for £14.99.
We found a similar 90 piece set for almost £12 more on Amazon for £27.
Meanwhile, if you decide to buy an acrylic paint set from a specialist art shop you could pay over £50. In comparison, Aldi’s offering costs just £6.99.
Alongside the paint sets, you can also get your hands on a canvas set for £3.99. This includes three pre-stretched canvases that are ready for you to paint on.
MORE ON MONEY
We found a similar three pack of canvases in Hobbycraft which cost slightly more at £5.
A table easel is also included in the range, which collapses down for storage, for £12.99.
This is £3 less than Amazon where a similar easel will cost you £16.
In addition, the range includes a set of 10 paint brushes for £4.99 - a half price saving compared to Hobbycraft where you can buy the same number of brushes for £10.
You’ll have to hurry if you want to get your hands on the range though, as it’s a part of the supermarket’s Specialbuys. These are popular with customers and usually sell out fast.
