In 2012 the coin was issued to commemorate the birthday of the great English writer and has the words “something will turn up” written on the edge.

The special coin features a detailed profile made up of the names of the author’s books.

It also has the word “will” misspelled.

Other coins with similar errors have been listed for thousands of pounds on eBay but have failed to sell.

There are 37 different £2 coins in in circulation and some of the rarest are worth 20 times the face value.

According to the Royal Mint over 8million of the coins were made to celebrate the famous author.
