You can now buy Hobnob Thins and they contain a third of the calories

The new biscuits have the oaty milk chocolate goodness of the original staple - but are much better for the waistline

YOU can now eat a chocolate Hobnob guilt-free because McVitie's has launched Hobnob Thins and they have a faction of the calories of the original.

At only 31 calories a biscuit, they're a light weight version compared to the regular milk choc Hobnob which contains 92 calories a biscuit.

The biscuits made of rolled oats covered in milk chocolate are available at major supermarkets for £1.79, but they are currently on offer at .

You'll be getting more for your money too because the Thin Hobnob packet contains 27 biscuits - verses 14 in a packet of original Hobnobs.

As well as being less calories, you can satisfy for your Hobnob craving for a fraction of the fat intake.

Original milk chocolate Hobnobs contain 4.4 grams of fat - whereas the thin version is 1.4 grams of fat.

McVitie's has also released a new digestive chocolate filled version - including a double choc one with both a chocolate biscuit and filling.

The biscuit masters have added the three new thins to its original line, which are a spin off of digestives and come in milk, dark and cappuccino flavours.

Digestive Thins ranked well in a recent rundown of the best and worst offenders when it comes to biscuits.

But they do have more calories per gram compared to a normal milk chocolate digestive, according to research by consumer group Which?

McVitie's also recently extended its line of Hobnobs - adding a new hazelnut flavour - but its only available in Nibble sharing packet.

The biscuit connoisseur quite literally turned our world upside down last year, when they revealed the correct way their chocolate biscuits should be held.

Many believe that the chocolate layer is the top of the biscuit, but McVitie's confirmed that it is in fact the bottom.
