Aldi’s selling a burger, buns, cheese and bacon for two for £4
IF you're planning to host a summer barbecue party this weekend, Aldi might just have the deal for you.
The supermarket is selling a burger kit for two including - 100 per cent British beef burgers, soft brioche buns, red peppers, tomato relish, West Country cheddar and bacon - for just under £4.
The bargain supermarket doesn't usually sell all of the items individually so it's not directly comparable to its other offers - but we still reckon it's quite a good deal.
That's because the beef burgers from the kit weigh 170g each, the same size as Aldi's Aberdeen Angus burgers, which would cost you £2.19 for a pack of two - and that's without all the trimmings.
At Morrisons a 340g pack of two burgers alone would already set you back £3.
At just £3.99, Aldi's burgers in a box 600g kit is already available in stores, but you'll have to hurry if you want to grab one.
The five ways you can save on your grocery shop
HERE are our top tips
- Compare food prices online. As with any purchase you’re about to make, you should always compare retailers to see who’s offering the best prices.
- Use discount codes. It pays to check sites like MoneySavingExpert and VoucherCloud to nab supermarket discounts and voucher codes. A simple search online could help you save £10 or £20 off an online order.
- Buy own-brand goods. Unbranded goods are significantly cheaper than their branded counterparts, so opting to buy the former could cut your bill down considerably.
- Use cashback websites. You can earn cashback each time you make a grocery order online, giving you extra savings on your weekly shop.
- Find yellow sticker bargains. Reduced items with the magic yellow sticker can be up to 75 per cent cheaper than the retail price, and if you have a big freezer then its the perfect way to stock up on the best brands for less.
That's because it's one of Aldi's Specialbuys, which means stock is likely to be limited.
Now that the weather’s hotting up, many of us will be heading outside to soak in the sunshine and prep for barbecue season.
And if you're looking for tasty deals, it might be worth checking what Asda has on offer.
Earlier this week, the supermarket picked the top gong for its BBQ sausages in a taste-test awards by Olive magazine.

The supermarket also picked up prizes for its ice cream, chilli sauce and ice cream.
