Sainsbury’s launches toy sale with discounts of up to 30 per cent on Nerf and Lego

Parents can stock up on the bargain toys online and in stores until August 21

SAINSBURY'S has launched a massive toy sale with discounts of up to 30 per cent to keep your kids entertained this summer.

Highlights include items from popular brands like Lego, Nerf and Play-Doh.

Parents can stock up on the bargain toys online and in stores until August 21.

Shoppers will be able to save 25 per cent on a Lego Incredibles set now selling for £22 down from £30.

The set includes three minifigures from the popular Pixar movie including Violet and Jack-Jack. The toy is suitable for all children aged four or more.

There's also a Lego City high-speed chase model available for £18.75 instead of £35.

If your kid is a fan of Nerf's blaster, you can grab one for a discounted £19. The N-Strike Elite blaster, from Sainsbury's, has a rotating drum that holds 15 darts and can launch them up to 27 metres (90 feet) away.

Board and card games are also available including Monopoly and UNO, which are selling for a discounted £15 and £5.25 respectively.

And if you want your children to spend some time outside, there's a a Carlton badminton set for four people - including four steel rackets, three shuttles and a net and post set - selling for £23 instead of £35 - a discount of almost 35 per cent.

Despite the catchy bargains, always check reviews before purchasing and shop around to ensure the deal is worthwhile.

Earlier this year, Smyths Toys launched a collection bargain toys for under a tenner - with some items even available for £5.

While Aldi just released an outdoor fun range this week - and it includes space hoppers and water slides.

Some apps and tools are also available to help you get the very best price for what they buy.

For example you download the  shopping app for free, which allows you to scan the toy barcode which will then tell you if you can get it cheaper anywhere else.
