Has Fanta Lemon been discontinued?

FIZZY drink fans are stressing about Fanta Lemon being discontinued in the EU.

This is due to a rumour that is circulating on social media claiming that the popular can of pop is to be axed.

A TikTok user shared an image of the can of pop over a swimming pool.

It said: "Fanta Lemon discontinued from all EU countries from 28th May 2022.
"Holidays never gunna be the same :("
The image has caused thousands of fans to respond, as they fear their summer treat is set to be axed.

Has Fanta Lemon been discontinued?

The Sun has confirmed with Coca Cola, who make Fanta Lemon, that it will not be discontinued.

A Coca-Cola Great Britain spokesperson said: “We continue to offer a wide range of Fanta flavours across Europe, and Fanta Lemon continues to be a key part of this portfolio.”

Four years ago, a similar rumour emerged on Twitter when a user asked the official Fanta page: "Have you discontinued Fanta Lemon?"

Fanta's response, which has since been deleted, left pop guzzlers reeling: "Sadly, yes, Fanta lemon was discontinued.

"But, you can check out our 12 flavors at Fanta.com to see what's available near you."

It's understood that the flavour was discontinued in the US at the time.

But the tweet was shared by Brits who wrongly feared they would no longer be able to buy the drink in the UK.

At the time Fanta's Twitter account said: "While Fanta Lemon is still not available in the US, it has not been discontinued elsewhere! We apologize for any confusion."

Can you still buy Fanta Lemon in the UK?

Fortunately for lovers of the citrus beverage, you can.

It's currently in stock at all major high street retailers.
